In this age of fast developing information technology, a well-developed library with information services is the basic necessity of any educational institution. The library of College of Agriculture, Latur is not an exception to this. It has played a vital role in uplifting and maintaining the educational standard of this College by providing feedback of required information to the educationalists, researchers, academic staff and students of this college through its multifarious services. At present this library successfully caters to the information needs of the academic community of this College. This library is growing day by day with the continuous growth of this College.

The mission of the library is to provide fast access to information resources and services that meet the information needs of the users; like students, teachers, researchers, extension workers, administrative and technical staff of the College.

• To provide the library and information services to students, teachers, researchers, extension workers and farmers.
• To increase the library collection.
• To increase the use of agricultural information sources.
• To process and to disseminate information with modern information and communication technology.
• To cooperate with other agricultural university libraries for resource sharing

Library is located in the centre of College of Agriculture, Latur campus.

The Librarian's prime duty is to organize, manage and sustain library services. In order to serve readers effectively, the library is further organized in to functional sections as below.

• Circulation section
• Current information service section
• Technical – processing section
• Reprographic section

Presently library services are arranged to user's of following categories.

The college library has been shifted to its new building in May 2007. The building is having length of 100 feet and width of 50 feet. The carpet area of Reading Room is about 1500 Sq.Ft. The building has a capacity of stacking twenty five thousand volumes and can accommodate 100 readers at a time.

From the security point of view of the library CCTV system has been installed in the library with 8 cameras.

The service like circulation, cataloging (OPAC), periodicals service, are computerized. The Library Management software KOHA is used operationally of all Services.
